Covid changes to legal policy
If a guest has to cancel due to Covid our normal cancellation policy now applies in 2024 unless a lockdown is in place, as it is now possible to insure for this eventuality. We always strongly advise you to insure your holiday for cancellation.
We may still continue to have self-check-in in place to limit contact with guests.
We will supply bedding as normal but may still ask you to strip beds on departure.
Going forward we may revise things as the year proceeds.
Bookings
Bookings are considered confirmed and you will be contacted by email beforehand. We will be providing all guests with any Covid information prior to arrival with details of changes to our procedures and government guidelines that must be followed while staying at the cottages.
What if the government issues another lockdown, regional lockdown or changes to travel guidance and I am unable to take my holiday?
If this is the case we will contact you beforehand and will endeavour to move your booking to an alternative date. Any difference in rates will be added/deducted from the total booking value. If your reason for cancellation is not covered by the policy you will be liable for the balance. We will do everything we can to re-let the cottage in which case we will retain the deposit to recover costs. Re-letting amount is used to offset your booking cost. We strongly advise you take holiday cancellation insurance when booking.
