Covid-19 changes to legal policy

If a guest/owner has to cancel due to Covid-19 all rental/ deposit monies will be returned in full.

We request names & contact details of all guests and retain for three weeks as per government guidelines on track & test. Plus we have a QR code for each cottage.

A self-check-in and out will be in place to limit contact with guests.

We will send guests by email all extra conditions in place during Covid-19. Concerning removal of certain things in the cottages and what to do on departure.

We supply bedding but have reduced to one pillow per person more on request.

We have removed the following items but all available on request - Books, DVDs, local leaflets, ornaments, clock radios, hair driers, extra bedding.

Bookings

Bookings are considered confirmed and you will be contacted by email beforehand. We will be providing all guests with any Covid-19 information prior to arrival with details of changes to our procedures and government guidelines that must be followed while staying at the cottages.

What if the government issues another lockdown, regional lockdown or changes to travel guidance and I am unable to take my holiday?

If this is the case we will contact you beforehand and will endeavour to move your booking to an alternative date. Any difference in rates will be added/deducted from the total booking value. If your reason for cancellation is not covered by the policy you will be liable for the balance. We will do everything we can to re-let the cottage in which case we will retain the deposit to recover costs. Re-letting amount is used to offset your booking cost. We strongly advise you take holiday cancellation insurance when booking.

What if I want to transfer my booking to a later date because I have Coronavirus and need to self-isolate?

We will endeavour to change bookings to alternative dates where possible and availability allows. If you move your holiday to an alternative date, any difference in rates will be added/deducted from the total booking value. We will do everything we can to re-let the property in which case we will retain the deposit to recover costs. Re-letting amount is used to offset your booking cost. We strongly advise you take holiday cancellation insurance when booking.

What if I want to transfer my booking because I am shielding or have underlying health conditions?

We will endeavour to change bookings to alternative dates where possible and where availability allows. If you move your holiday to an alternative date, any difference in rates will be added/deducted from the total booking value. We will do everything we can to re-let the cottage in which case we will retain the deposit to recover costs. Re-letting amount is used to offset your booking cost. If the deposit has been paid and we are able to rebook that week then we will return the deposit fee or use it for your alternative booking. We strongly advise you take holiday cancellation insurance when booking.

What if I display Covid-19 symptoms before arriving for my stay?

You will need to contact us immediately if you or any of your intended party show symptoms, test positive or have been in contact with someone testing positive. We will endeavour to move your holiday to an alternative date, any difference in rates will be added/deducted from the total booking value. We will require written evidence of confirmation of a positive test and direct instructions to isolate.

What if I display symptoms while on holiday?

You will need to contact us immediately and then vacate the cottage and go home. You are not permitted to isolate at Hele Barton Farm. We will contact you afterwards to discuss a partial refund for the stay.

What if I display symptoms on my return home?

Please contact us if you start to show any symptoms when you return home. We may have to change our cleaning protocol to include extra sanitisation in order to protect ourselves and future guests.

Guest responsibility

Please continue to follow the guidelines issued by the government to help control and reduce the spread of Coronavirus while staying at Todsworthy Farm. Most of these are mentioned in the Staying healthy while on holiday section of the Covid-19 information guide.
